Dance



This is an image I haven't been able to forget
for about an year now. We went to this
Native American Festival in San Juan Capistrano, CA,
and that was just one of the many mesmerizing visuals.
Finally managed to recreate it.

Love your style. Please share how do you "approach the image directly", do you use masking of the image, I assume it's digital? Thanks for sharing.

angel, to answer your question, I just make a quick gesture sketch with pencil, to have as a reference. Then I block my shapes with the "lasso" tool, and add textures with some custom brushes.. since i'm no photoshop expert by no means, i'm limited to this pretty simple technique, which seems to work for me
